I really liked this recipe..the only thing I would change is to cook the meat a little longer ..Wonderful taste.
Quick prep, throw it in and done! I use beef broth or stock instead of water to mine, add more flavor, complimenting the flavors. My family LOVES this!
Simple and very good substitutes beef broth for the water. Rich and savory.
Very good recipe. Had to go without the soup mix, as products like that are very hard to find here in the Philippines.
I added a couple different flavors of onion soup mix, onions and garlic and multiplied the recipe X 5 for my teenage boys and husband lol it was great and quick. I also pan seared the meat first.
It was a huge hit. I’ll need to double the recipe for next time.
Excellent Meal! I used 1 can of beef broth in place of the water & 2 cans of cream of mushroom. Before serving I cooked egg noodles and added them to the beef mixture. This was so easy & excellent. It was a huge hit with my picky family. Thanks for the recipe.
Excellent taste and easy to prepare; will definitely be making this dish again. I was unable to find beef tips in the grocery so used a pound of sirloin cut into 1″ cubes. Beef came out very tender. Also doubled the amount of mushrooms. Next time the only change I will make is to make twice the amount of sauce. I paired with Harvard beets as the side dish and will definitely do that again; the sweetness added a nice layer of taste.
Made in the crock pot! Browned and seasoned meat before adding to crock pot. Instead of water I did a cup of beef broth mixed with grown gravy (sometimes add half a pack of ranch cause my kids like it, not all the time) two cans of cream of mushroom with garlic. A splash of milk, and beef onion packet. Throw mushrooms on top.
Came out amazing! The only thing I switched was the cream of mushroom soup. I used cream of mushroom with roasted garlic. The entire family loved it! Even my picky ones!
Excellent recipe and so easy to make!! Beef tips and noodles are my go to favorite!! I have followed other recipes and not happy with the outcome. Doubled so I can have leftovers!! Will definitely make again!!
Delicious! Made a few changes…Before putting in the oven, season then brown the meat slightly in olive oil. Add a little soy sauce and a little worcheshire sauce along with a little red wine and garlic powder. Let the wine cook down as you add fresh sliced mushrooms. I substituted the cream of mushroom soup for golden mushroom soup. Add remaining ingredients and bake as directed.
Great Recipe. I made the following modifications: lightly browned the meat, added minced garlic, fresh mushrooms, a few splashes of worchestershire , one can of french onion soup along with the mushroom soup and 1/2 C milk. Served on mashed potatoes.
I added some dried porcini mushrooms, using the soaking liquid instead of plain water. Half the noodles specified would be more than enough.
Great recipe! I cooked it in the crock pot – Changes I made were to seer the meat and I used 3 cans cream of mushroom and a cup and a half of water. Cooked on low for 8 hours. Family loved it!
I do not use dry soup mix often. Although easy it tasted artificial to me. Husband had no comment which means it was just OK.
Love this recipe. I made it several times. With a 2lb chop serloin roast, I always add one can each of cream or chicken and mushroom. Also 1/4 cup each of warstashire and soy sauce . 1/2 an onion chopped. Salt and pepper the meat instead. 1/2 cup beef stock instead of the water. All in crockpot.
Very easy to make, but a little too salty for my liking.
Great – easy – filling…..
We did ours in the crockpot on low for several hours. What I would do differently: Cut the meat smaller and brown first; substitute wine for all or part of the water; thicken the sauce a bit; add parsley. It was a very easy dish and tasty. We just didn’t want to heat up the oven on a hot day. Served with egg noodles and salad.
This was delicious I will make this many more times for sure.
