3-Ingredient Boursin Cheese Pasta

  4.3 – 7 reviews

There are only 3 ingredients needed to make this quick and simple side pasta dish! To transform it from a delectable side dish into a main meal, add a protein like grilled chicken breast strips. Alternatively, you may make it a vegetarian main.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 10 mins
Total Time: 15 mins
Servings: 8

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound angel hair pasta
  2. 1 (5.2 ounce) package garlic and herb cheese spread (such as Boursin®)
  3. ¾ cup grape tomatoes, sliced (Optional)
  4. chopped fresh parsley for garnish (Optional)
  5. ½ cup reserved pasta water, or as needed

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook angel hair pasta in the boiling water, stirring occasionally, until tender yet firm to the bite, 5 to 7 minutes.
  2. Drain pasta, reserving 3/4 cup water ( you may not need it all).
  3. Pour 1/2 cup reserved water into sauce pan. Add Boursin cheese, whisking to combine until smooth. Add tomatoes and cook, no longer than 2 minutes. Add pasta back into the sauce. Garnish with fresh parsley.

I doubled the sauce. It’s fine as is for a side dish, quick and easy. With the leftovers, I added some cream cheese and chicken to make it a main course.

Needed way more sauce!! The flavor is good. I only used 1/2 package of angel air n it doesn’t hardly have any sauce on it

I roasted the tomatoes in the oven at 400 for 20 min with some olive oil and s+p. Next time I’ll add even more tomatoes -didn’t use a whole lb of pasta. Would probably need to add more cheese if I did. This was good!

Needs a better quality soft cheese.

Wow! Super easy and surprisingly delicious given the limited ingredients!! Used 1/2 lb rotini noodles vs angel hair, 2 roma tomatoes vs grape and added a small can of sliced mushrooms at the same time as the tomatoes. I absolutely think if made as written would be just as great but it’s awesome to find a recipe that you can swap similar ingredients and get the same, great results. We LOVED this! Served with Air Fryer Pork Tenderloin. We liked so much I would make as a main dish, as a side dish or even a heartier dish by adding some chicken or shrimp. Thank you thedailygourmet! And kudos!

This recipe is very good as is. Made it for 2 people and as a side for veal chops…It was very good. I might need to add a bit more boursin to get it creamier. Be mindful about it and do not let it dry up. Remove it immediately from the heating source as soon as your tomatoes warm up! I sprinkled some dried oregano and it added an extra aroma and flavor to it. Will make it again

Simple & tasty. I added mushrooms cuz I had to use some I had in the fridge, other than that followed the recipe exactly.
