Barbecued Oysters

Ingredients

  1. 1 dozen oysters
  2. 4 Tbs. melted butter
  3. 1 tsp. parsley, chopped fine
  4. 1 Tbs. lemon juice
  5. 1 tsp. prepared horseradish
  6. 1 garlic clove, minced
  7. a couple dashes hot sauce
  8. salt and pepper
  9. rock salt for plating
  10. lemon wedges

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients except oysters in a small mixing bowl. Shuck oysters and discard their top shells. Place on a preheated grill and spoon a small amount of the butter mixture onto each one. Close lid and grill for 2 minutes until the edges of the oysters just begin to curl. Transfer to a rock salt-lined platter and garnish with lemon wedges. Serve immediately.
