Cumin Lime Almonds

Whole natural almonds are tossed in olive oil, cumin and garlic powder, then baked and infused with freshly grated lime zest. Try sweet, fruity wines such as Riesling or Gewurztraminer, which are strong enough to stand up to the spicy aromatic characteristics of these savory almonds.

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups whole natural almonds
  2. 3 teaspoons olive oil
  3. 3 teaspoons cumin
  4. 1 teaspoon salt
  5. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  6. 2 teaspoons lime zest, freshly grated

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250F. Stir all ingredients except lime zest in a medium mixing bowl until well-combined. Pour onto a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 35-40 minutes, stirring once. Remove and immediately sprinkle with lime zest. Serve or cool completely and store in an airtight container.;
