Instructions

  1. Puree 1 cup cubed seedless watermelon, 2 cups cranberry juice and 1/4 cup each grenadine and lemon juice; strain. Fill glasses halfway with the puree. Add ice and top with seltzer; garnish with lemon wedges.

This is a 4th of July staple at our place. We make it by the gallon and even when we’re rushed and can’t do the straining, it’s a big hit. We do add a shot of grape vodka to the “not so virgin” version.
