When it comes to cocktails, it’s hard to improve on a Manhattan. But with the Slope, Julie Reiner has done it. Like a Manhattan with a Brooklyn vibe, it’s served up at her groundbreaking Brooklyn bar, Clover Club, and now, of course, at your home.

Reviews
The Punt e Mes is a little too bitter. Next time I’d try 50/50 Punt e Mes/Carpano Antica Formula, or simply less Punt e Mes and let the two other main ingredients shine through a little more. Or maybe it doesn’t need the Angostura aromatic bitters.
