The word ‘spritz’ originated in Germany and means ‘splash.’ When applied to a drink, it refers to a wine-based cocktail, typically served over ice, often with a fruit garnish. Ree’s spritz is especially refreshing and suitable for the summer months, garnished with strawberries.
