Silly name, 5-Star Cocktail! I call this a Blueberry Martini, because the berry vodka I could find was Stoli w/Blueberries. I made it just as instructed, but instead of fresh blueberries, I found no sugar added frozen ones and tossed four of them (frozen) in a rather small martini glass. Helped to keep the martini ice cold and the blueberries at the end were amazing! My friend and I had to make 2 batches! Thank-you once again, Miss Sandy!
I know, I know Aunt Sandy is always swaying to buy the cheap stuff, but don’t do it with a recipe that is mainly cheap booze.
It was near impossible finding Berry vodka (for my rant on this, check out my Semi-Edible blog: http://semi-edible.blogspot.com/ ). I finally found Finlandia and it was okay in this cocktail as long as it was super super super cold. Once it warmed up even a little it was too boozy and I threw it out. Like all martinis, this would be good with good vodka- but good luck finding it!
I love this it. It is very soft to drink. This drink has made it to my top 5 drinks.
