Ingredients

  1. Deselect All
  2. 2 cups pineapple chunks
  3. 2 Granny Smith apples, cored and cut into cubes
  4. 2 unpeeled lemons, thinly sliced
  5. 2 unpeeled limes, thinly sliced
  6. 1 cup green seedless grapes
  7. 1 cup red seedless grapes
  8. 1 small unpeeled orange, thinly sliced
  9. 1.5 liter red wine, such as cabernet sauvignon, merlot or pinot noir, chilled
  10. 1.5 liter dry white wine, such as chardonnay, sauvignon blanc or pinot grigio, chilled
  11. 1 cup orange or citrus flavored rum
  12. 1 cup orange or citrus flavored vodka
  13. 1 cup sugar
  14. Ice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the fruit in a large vat. Pour in the red wine, white wine, citrus rum and citrus vodka. Next, to add a subtle sweetness, dissolve the sugar in 1 cup water and add it to the mix. Stir well, then cover and refrigerate for several hours, giving the fruit and liquids time to meld. Serve in glasses over ice, and have tongs nearby so guests can help themselves to the fruit.
  2. Designated drivers are recommended!

This is the best sangria I’ve ever made! I make this when we get together with friends and it’s a hit every single time. It’s not too sweet and a splash of club soda is nice with it too. Love it!

I made this the night before my cookout to ensure all the favors had plenty of time to meld. So delicious, and not a drop left by the end of the party!  This recipe is a keeper!

This is the best sangria! Making it for the third year in a row for a friend’s Cinco de Mayo party. It’s requested and expected. 🙂

I’ve made this for many parties, and it is always a hit!  Fruity, strong, delicious and satisfying!

I enjoyed it (I like strong drinks) but my husband who is not a drinker, and who prefers sweet non-strong sangria did not like it at all.

Awesome/ Quick Assembly / Fool Proof!
Made it for Christmas. Initially before the fruit had a chance to lend their natural juices, it had a strong taste. But I waited a few hours like the recipe said, and it was so delicious! Will make again for sure!!

Love it love it love it. One of my favorites. Make it when we have a large group over and it’s always a hit. Know the recipe by heart.

Taking a glance at all the ingredients, at first it seemed daunting. Instead it’s quite easy. I prepped the fruit and liquor the night before and stored it in sealed container in the fridge. This serves a lot and was great for the group I was serving.

Amazing!! Made it at a recent bridal shower!! Everyone was warned and had designated drivers!! I used Barefoot Cab and Sauvignon Blanc. Thank you for sharing!! PS… my sister used the leftover fruit on waffles the next day!!

I made this for New Years eve. It was too cold to got out but we stayed warm inside and had a light fresh drink to bring in the new year. I plan on making this a fun summer drink for summer BBQ’s. Next time I might just use rum.
