Berry Mojito

Ingredients

  1. 4 raspberries
  2. 3 blackberries
  3. 3 lime wedges (or 1/4 lime, cut into 3 pieces)
  4. 3 fresh mint leaves plus 2 mint sprigs, for garnish
  5. 2 small strawberries, hulled and sliced in half
  6. 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  7. 2 ounces silver rum
  8. 2 ounces seltzer water

Instructions

  1. In a pint or large glass, combine the raspberries, blackberries, lime wedges, mint leaves, strawberries and sugar and muddle with a muddler or wooden spoon. Add the rum and mix with a spoon. Fill the glass with ice, top off with the seltzer and stir. Garnish with the mint sprigs and serve with a straw.

I have blueberry bushes in my yard and they make a great Mojito.  Now I want to try other berry flavors.  I also grow my own mint.  Mint grows like a weed so you’ll save a ton of money if you don’t have to buy it in the store or the farmer’s market.
