Ingredients
- 1 1/2 ounces blanco tequila, such as Don Julio Blanco
- 1 ounce fresh lime juice
- 1 ounce agave nectar
- 1 pasteurized egg white
- 1 slice jalapeno with 2 or 3 seeds
- Lime wedge, for garnish
Instructions
- Put the tequila, lime juice, agave, egg white and jalapeno in a cocktail shaker and muddle the jalapeno. Add large ice cubes, shake vigorously and single-strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice. Garnish with a lime wedge and serve.

Guess it was my agave – turned out looking like a glass of coffee. A bit too sweet for me. On the fence if I want to use this one again..
This is our new favorite margarita! Not too sweet, not too heavy. Never would have thought to use egg whites in a cocktail but it turned out fabulous.
