Yield: 10 sliders

Ingredients

  1. ½ pound ground beef
  2. ½ pound ground pork
  3. ½ cup rolled oats
  4. 1 slice bread, shredded
  5. 1 large egg
  6. ¼ small onion, diced
  7. 1 stalk green onion, sliced
  8. 3 tablespoons dry onion soup mix
  9. 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  10. 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  11. 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root
  12. ½ tablespoon sesame oil
  13. 1 (15 ounce) package slider-size burger buns

Instructions

  1. Gently mix beef, pork, oats, bread, egg, onion, green onion, soup mix, basil, soy sauce, ginger, and sesame oil together. Form 10 slider-sized patties.
  2. Heat a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add patties and pan-fry until meat is browned and no longer pink in the centers, flipping as needed, 5 to 7 minutes.

  4. Add patties to toasted buns and serve.

Made it as written. I ended up with 12 sliders. They were 5 stars all the way. Served them with the Sriracha, Chipotle, and mayo mixed and some pickled carrots, radishes, and fresh cilantro. Oh so good!
