Sriracha Honey Chicken

  4.4 – 46 reviews  • Chicken Breast

Using basic ingredients that can be found in most pantries, this dish is quick, simple, and surprisingly excellent. It’s extremely easy to adjust; this recipe is incredibly forgiving.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 25 mins
Servings: 2
Yield: 2 servings

Ingredients

  1. 3 tablespoons Sriracha hot sauce
  2. 1 tablespoon honey
  3. 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  4. 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  5. ½ teaspoon onion powder
  6. ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  7. ½ teaspoon salt
  8. ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  9. 2 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  2. Whisk Sriracha sauce, honey, butter, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper together in a small bowl.
  3. Place chicken in a baking dish. Pour Sriracha mixture over the chicken and turn to coat chicken completely.
  4. Cook in the preheated oven until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, 15 to 20 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).

Sorry this was too spicy for us. I thought that it might be so I only used one tablespoon of sriracha sauce and four teaspoons of honey. Still too hot for our taste. If I make it again I will cut the sriracha even further.

I don’t like spicy food, but I loved this recipe! I added a tsp of cinnamon and nutmeg and it gave it a great fall flavor!

Delicious! A little too hot for us so I decreased the sriracha by 1 TBSP

My family loves this! I’ve made several times with doubling the recipe for 4 chicken breasts. I use 1/4 cup sriracha, 3tbs honey, and don’t change the amount of the other ingredients. I add a little minced garlic and ginger to boost the flavor level. Cooked at 435 for about 30 minutes. If you like sriracha, you should give it a try.

Love this. It is REALLY spicy, but it’s fantastic. Just have water nearby!

I can’t downgrade it because it’s HOT. I liked the flavor, the heat was the issue. This was my first time cooking with sriracha and holy cow it was HOT. In TX, we know spice heat but this was too much for us, wiping off the excess sauce to make it edible. Next time (and there will be a next time), I’ll cut back on Sriracha, add more honey & a bit more butter. I baked just as it suggested and the chicken was moist. Simple and quick dinner entre. Another plus is this spice didn’t cause acid reflux for either of us.

Absolutely delicious! Did not change a thing. Next time I will double the sauce to add over rice.

Turned out pretty good! Next time I will change the spicy to honey ratio though

This was delicious! I made extra sauce and otherwise changed nothing except that I made 5 whole breasts worth- and it turned out perfect! This easy recipe is a new favorite

Good flavor. Spicy. I put a bit less hot sauce, but I don’t think it made any difference.

I make this frequently. Usually I will multiply the recipe and do 5-7 pounds of chicken at a time. Works very well with boneless thighs as well. Same recipe, but put it in a crockpot, and you will end up with a delicious curry.

My family ate this up! It’s super quick to make. I didn’t have honey so I used Agave. Either way, it was a good mix of sweet & spicy. My very picky teenage even ate it, had seconds and then stashed some away for the next day. My younger teen sprinkled more Italian Seasoning on her pieces and also raved about it. My son ate half the dish by himself. This recipe is a keeper.

Hubby & I really enjoy this – I’ve made it several times now. We enjoy spicy food so this is right up our alley – we may even add a little more Siracha in the future. I prefer making it with skinless chicken thighs. If I use bone-in thighs, I cook it for 45 min at 375. Thanks for sharing our new family favorite!
