My Italian Turkey Meatballs

  4.7 – 30 reviews  • Ground Turkey Recipes

These meatballs made from turkey are delicious and juicy. Cook from raw into your preferred spaghetti sauce, like I do, or pan-fry, bake, or other method.

Prep Time: 30 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins
Total Time: 50 mins
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound ground turkey
  2. ½ cup Italian-style bread crumbs
  3. ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  4. 1 large egg
  5. ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  6. ½ teaspoon kosher salt (Optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Mix turkey, bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, parsley, and salt together in a large bowl. Form meat mixture with wet hands into balls about 1 1/2 inches in diameter without handling or packing too hard.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until browned, about 20 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (70 degrees C).
  4. You can also pan-fry the meatballs on medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil for about 15 minutes. Keep turning the meatballs to brown them on all sides and make sure to test for doneness.
  5. If using with spaghetti sauce, drop raw meatballs into your favorite sauce and gently simmer for about 45 minutes.

Very flavorful and hold together perfectly! Made these per recipe with the exception of a couple of things. I used plain bread crumbs that I make using old bread and 1 T of Italian seasoning. Also, dried parsley instead of fresh. Made these ahead of time and used the oven method. Just tasted one and can’t wait to put them in my spaghetti! I am getting ready to make another batch because these may be gone before then!

Taste is quite subjective. I made these as written, and the kiddos devoured them. The flavor was perfect for them. However seasonings can be added and adjusted to anyone’s preference which does not detract from the ease of making them.

They came out great my wife loved them !!!

I thought it was simple to make. I added a teaspoon of garlic for extra flavor.

Very good. I used an air fryer. 8 minutes at 370 degrees, turn them, and 2-4 minutes more, depending on size.

Nothing spectacular! The meatballs were very bland, and my hubby didn’t like it! Will not make this recipe again very disappointing! Especially when your husband says they have no taste.

Yum! Very good. I used them with a blush sauce over pasta.

Excellent and easy to follow recipe! I sprayed the meatballs with Pam cooking spray and gave them a tune every 5 minutes to brown more evenly on all sides. Used dry parsley and hand shaped the meatballs into more 1/2”-1” in diameter.

These meatballs are delicious. i substitute the italian seasoned turkey as it gives the meatball more of a sausagey flavor.

I made these to roll into mini meatballs for Italian Wedding Soup. I cooked them right in the broth. They turned out really well. Plenty of flavor, and a good basic meatball that can be used in so many different ways.

This was very easy to make. The meatballs could use a little more flavor in my opinion. However, they were picky-husband approved.

My family enjoys these meatballs, either with pasta or in a covered meatball sandwich. They are delicious!

These were good, after I added a couple of grinds of black pepper, and 1 clove of finely minced garlic. I suppose that you can also make this mixture into patties, which I’ll make at a later date.
