Salted cod roe with red pepper seasoning is used in my go-to spaghetti recipe. It has a great flavor.

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground chicken
- ½ small onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- ½ (1 ounce) package dry taco seasoning mix
- 1 egg
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 wheat hamburger buns, toasted
- 4 slices pepperjack cheese
- 1 avocado – peeled, pitted and sliced
- ¼ cup chopped jalapeno pepper
- ½ cup salsa, or to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Lightly oil the grill grate, and position it about 4 inches from the heat source.
- Mix ground chicken, onion, garlic, taco seasoning, and egg together in a bowl until thoroughly blended. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Divide chicken mixture evenly and form into 4 soft patties.
- Cook chicken patties on the preheated grill until meat is no longer pink and juices run clear, 5 to 8 minutes per side, depending on thickness. To serve, place each patty on one half of a hamburger bun, top with a slice of cheese, avocado slices, and desired amounts of jalapeño peppers and salsa. Cover with remaining half of bun.

Delicious, easy and quick recipe for ground chicken. After reading some reviews saying that the mixture was too wet, I decided to use only an egg yolk. The mixture was still sticky so I added 1 T bread crumbs. I made these into 8 small patties and Air fried at 400 for 4 minutes on each side. I served with black bean and rice. Next time I might add some cilantro and maybe some chopped jalapenos as suggested by some reviewers.
Great. I bake mine, no grill needed lots of flavor.
I made something similar using this recipe. Instead of onions and garlic I sliced and seeded one sweet pepper and one jalapeño. Instead of ground chicken I used ground venison. Still did it on the foreman though.
I added cilantro and jalapeño into the chicken mix before cooking. Then I topped it with quest and ate it as a lettuce wrap. Fantastic!
I made this last night and it was great!! I jazzed it up a little bit by adding some fresh diced green pepper along with the onion(red) to the chicken mix. I used crushed garlic. I had some home made taco seasoning I used to reduce the sodium, I do recommend using at least 1 1/2TBS of seasoning. I cooked it on the Foreman Grill, lightly oil the grill and the patties on both sides with olive oil to avoid sticking. I didn’t make thick patties so it cooks all the way through with out burning the outsides. I cooked it one patty at a time for cooking evenness for 7-8 minutes along with turning as the Foreman tends to cook some areas faster. I will be making this again!! Thanks for the recipe
great idea and tasty recipe for using ground chicken
This was a nice quick summer sandwich. Easy to make. I used my gas grill. The kids liked the fact that they could build their own. Everything was good. My patties were a little too wet for the grill. They had kind of crumbled while flipping. Despite appearance, they were quite tasty.
Just made this for dinner tonight and it rocked!! I did have to add in a small amount of bread crumbs, as my mixture was too wet to hold together (I grind my own chicken). The taste was amazing. I put them on sesame bun with jalapeno slices.
Family liked it. I left out the onion by preference. I added 1c breadcrumbs to firm it up for ease of cooking.
These were great! Very simple to make and a great flavors. I served them with the salsa instead of ketchup along with lettuce and the pepper jack cheese. A keeper for sure! Followed as written.
Met with speculation and loved by the family. I used the George Foreman for these. It was requested that at I make more next time!!!
very tasty alternative to the every burger. family loved it!
So easy. I thought they were a bit watery when I first put them on the grill, but I used a cooking sheet and they were perfect!
Our family loved these burgers tonight for dinner! Delicious!! Thank you for the idea! Now we want to try different styles of chicken burgers!
I did use bread crumbs as other suggested, still quite sticky, but I managed. Amongst the bread crumbs, I also crushed up some tortilla chips and used them with the bread crumbs as I thought they might step up the flavour a bit, so all together a 1/2 cup per batch. Did not use the jalapeño pepper but I did buy jalepeno monterary jack cheese to put on top of burger. These were delicious!! Will definitely become a regular meal.
Easy the kids loved it. Obviously no jalapeno for them but the patties were very very soft but cooked on the indoor griddle just fine.
I used the basic recipe, and liked the taco seasoning. I added some chopped hot and sweet pickled jalapeños. YUM. I will make them again!
Made this for dinner tonight. Had a pkg of ground chicken and needed a recipe for what to do with it. I used fresh garlic(wasn’t sure if it was to be fresh or the dried). I also added 1/4 cup plain breadcrumbs, as others suggested, with the egg. This made 4 big patties. I cooked them indoors on an electric griddle. I did lightly toast the buns as suggested, I think it adds a nice touch. Topped them with the pepperjack cheese, salsa, lettuce, sliced avacado and french fried jalapenos. They were so moist and flavorful! This recipe is a keeper ! Thanks for sharing!
I baked these in the oven and we all liked them a lot, even my 7 yr old.
Very good and easy. To the ground chicken I added one egg, about a cup of bread crumbs, taco seasoning and a pinch of salt and pepper and formed into patties. I grilled the patties on the stove and then melted cheese on top just before serving. I made a guacamole/salsa spread and topped burgers with fresh lettuce and tomatoes. Really great way to eat ground chicken!
No salt, the taco mix covers that. It was very gooy, but I just spooned it onto my griddle and shaped with the spoon.
