I’ve been purchasing a popular frozen dinner bag that is excellent but very pricey. So I double-checked the components, looked up scampi recipes online, and made the decision to make my own by adjusting, removing, and modifying everything. It’s my first time!

Ingredients
- 3 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 1 cup chicken broth
- ½ teaspoon seasoned salt, or to taste
Instructions
- Place chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker. Pour in chicken broth and seasoned salt. Cover and cook on High until no longer pink in the center and the juices run clear, 3 to 4 hours, or on Low for 6 to 8 hours. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of the chicken breasts should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
- Remove chicken and shred with 2 forks.
Reviews
You should add cut up into small chunks then shred because it makes it easy.
My chicken was done in 2 hours. Had I cooked it for the specified time, it would have been very dry. I would much rather cook it on the stove top and have the chicken cooked in 20 minutes than have to wait for 2 hours. Overall an easy recipe but if you’re in a hurry this will not work for you.
