Really good. Easy to follow. I rarely buy ground chicken, but my local grocery store now has it quite often at an affordable price. I am saving this recipe and will make it again. I don’t use as much onion as listed, and added a TBSP of bread crumbs
I replaced mayo & garlic with Aioli. Simple
it tasted great
I used this as a base recipe, but added a few things along the way. I mixed chopped white mushrooms, red bell pepper, and red onion to my chicken mixture. And instead of just flour, I added italian bread crumbs. Instead of oil, I fried them in garlic herb butter. They came out AMAZING.
Amaziiiing recipe. I didn’t have what I needed in the pantry/fridge so I omitted some things, but regardless, the base of what’s important was used. I used canned chicken chunks and I suppose if I baked or roasted a chicken, leftovers should make this recipe even better. This recipe is a keeper!!
Turned out very nice although I did double the garlic. Otherwise stuck to the recipe and bound and cooked up just fine. With this or anytime I am cooking chicken of any description, pieces, breast, thigh, whole the lot I always stick my meat thermometer in and the SECOND it reaches 165oC (def. no more than 170oC) I stop cooking and remove from pan to rest. Even breasts are juicy when you do this – (ie providing you beat them to any even thickness first). You can’t go wrong when you use a meat thermometer.
The patties turned out soft, juicy and delicious. To add a kick to it, I chopped green chilli with the onions. My family loved this!
This is my go to now, we love them. I add a little green bell pepper finely chopped for flavor
This recipe is a hit at our house. I have made it twice. The first time I had ground chicken. The second time I chopped up chicken breast with my Cuisinart. I did make tartar sauce with mayo, lemon juice and lemon pepper and we used that for a topping. I will make again as it is easy and full of protein.
It’s a great base recipe; Reading some other reviews before, I added more spices.
It was ok. A little bland. Recommend more seasoning or a sauce.
I added one cup of cooked rice to the mixture. Used different seasonings – Mrs. Dash table blend and poultry seasoning, and did use the garlic and onion. I didn’t coat them in flour, but made patties and baked them at 375 degrees for about 30 minutes, or until chicken is done and starts to brown. Was really good without all of the oil and flour.
I used to say “these are great for a change of pace”. Now they are becoming 1 of my staples! The only tweaks I made were eliminating the mayo and adding some Tony’s and cayenne seasoning. And this is also becoming a fav of my Husband’s…so even better! Thanks, Kelli
Will definitely make again. I had more than I needed from the recipe, so I froze them, uncooked. They are just as good unfrozen and cooked.
My small town grocery store doesn’t carry ground chicken so I use shredded roasted chicken. I’ve tried both onions raw and sautéed in this and we prefer them sautéed first. The smoke from the roasted chicken and splash of lawrys seasoning in the flour make this a new favorite at our house! Even my very picky 3&7 yr olds eat it all up! We serve it with a dollop of sour cream, potatoes and corn.
This was too plain for me so I added 1 1/2 Tsp cumin curry paste. I enjoyed them but my husband would have enjoyed them plain.
As is just ok, but if you use flour & panko to coat helps. Also, next time we’ll add some spices or herbs cause it needs it bad. The taste was ok otherwise so just needs a boost. The worst part & I do mean WORSE is it smells when frying. It reminded me of warming up our old cats wet food to get the chill off. Needed to burn candles & spray the place after eating. With all that said, we do plan on making again though. Oops, forgot we used ground turkey so maybe that is why there was a smell. We didn’t have any ground chicken & were in the middle of a blizzard so used the turkey.
They were good! The fresh parsley and onion made for a wonderful combination of flavors and texture. I could not find ground chicken at my grocery store so I substituted ground turkey. And I used olive oil maynnaise. Word to the wise, you will make a mess; make sure to have paper towels on standby and plenty of hand soap. But it is so worth it. I ate mine by themselves and dipped in BBQ sauce.
These patties were ok. IF I make them again, I might use a little less flour and seasoned salt instead. My kids enjoyed them though.
Didn’t make any changes, and they were delicious and something different. I will make them again.
Nice basic recipe. I used gluten free bread crumbs instead of flour. Happy with the results.
