First time that I’m reviewing after many years of using this website. This marinade is really very tasty. I followed the directions as written and marinated a 2 1/4 lb. sirloin tip steak. Grilled on my char griller and it was probably one of the tastiest steaks I’ve eaten. My son requested that I save this recipe!

Steak was nice and juicy, vinegar did not overpower the flavor, it was nicely balanced.

I reduced the recipe since I was cooking just for me. I used dehydrated chopped onion and I did not blend the ingredients together in the food processor. Steak marinated for about 4 hours and tasted great. I am just getting used to grilling so the steak turned out a bit more done than I like but it was still a great steak. I had cooked enough for two servings but it was so good I ate 1.5 servings. This will be a go to whenever nothing sounds good.

The recipe was delicious and very easy to make. I read someone’s review to add less salt or NO salt and I forgot to implement and added the salt it asked for. I have to agree with the suggestion to reduce the salt or don’t add the salt since the soy sauce has plenty of salt. I used a NY Strip and everyone loved it.

It came out good. I didn’t add the rosemary, instead I added bbq sauce once I put it in the and once it’s cooking. After taste is like the meat from Tommy’s hamburger. I ended up doing chili fries with the meat.

I wish I could give this steak 10 stars instead of 5. Only change was I used top sirloin. I don’t recommend any changes to the recipe, it’s perfect as is.

My Texan husband & some best friends ( beef-lovers) raved about their steaks marinated in this marinade. They are still raving! I doubled the recipe for (4) 1lb. each Rib-eyes (3/4 – 1” thick) & froze the remaining unused portion as per an earlier reviewer. It’s SO easy & quick to make. My only (small) changes per the recipe were, 1) I added 2 T brown sugar, 2) used low-sodium soy sauce & 3) for vinegar I used 1/2 part red wine vinegar & 1/2 part white vinegar. I pierced them & then marinated them for 4 hours, completely covered ( I let them sit at room temp for the last hour). Here’s our secret: get your grill super-hot, lay those babies on, close the lid & cook for 6-7 minutes to slightly char them on one side…… then reduce flame & FLIP & only cook for 1-2 mins, no more. This produces a great taste at medium doneness. Shorten times if you like rarer meat.

MADE AS POSTED: This was tasty and I really enjoyed the rosemary flavoring. Solid 4 star recipe. I’ll make again from time to time. Might even add a touch more rosemary.

This was one of the tastiest stakes I have ever cooked ! That sour taste was soo gooood !

Two vinegary. My fault for using dried rosemary, but you really need to crush it to get that sweetness throughout. Will make again.

This was a great marinade! I did substitute balsamic vinegar for the cider vinegar for added flavor. Nice rosemary flavor. Yum!

I put the soy sauce and only 1 tsp of salt and it was still too salty. I’d hold off on the salt till you can taste it at the end. Other than that, very good recipe.

After reading other reviews I used balsamic vinegar and left out the salt. The steaks were delicious, everyone at the barbecue said so

It was good but I found it took away from the steak taste. Not overpowering just hard to taste the meat I guess. I rated it 5 stars because I used the leftover marinade on chicken breast and it was out of this world.

Love this. So easy, I made no substitutions. I have doubled and tripled this recipe with no issues.

This is the best steak marinade EVER!! I usually cut the marinade in half and there’s plenty to coat the steaks.
