Baked Lamb Chops

  4.2 – 142 reviews  • Chops

Tofu, mushrooms, coconut milk, and rice noodles are all included in this Thai-inspired soup. You shouldn’t cook soup and noodles together since the noodles will soak up all the broth. Use three pieces of dried galangal in place of fresh if you don’t have any.

Prep Time: 10 mins
Cook Time: 40 mins
Total Time: 50 mins
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  1. 3 large eggs
  2. 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  3. 2 cups dry bread crumbs
  4. 12 (5.5 ounce) lamb chops

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Beat together eggs and Worcestershire sauce in a shallow bowl. Place bread crumbs in a second shallow bowl. Dip each lamb chop in egg mixture, then lightly dredge in bread crumbs to coat. Arrange lamb chops in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Turn lamb chops over and continue cooking to desired doneness, about 20 more minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center of chops should read 130 degrees F (55 degrees C) for medium doneness.

I liked this receipt will make it again. Did make some adjustments to ingredients because only cooked two chops so I cut back on all ingredients.

Absolutely love this recipe

These came out very tender and tasty. Only one change I will make next time is to bake them for only maybe 30-35 minutes. I prefer pink or medium rare and these were well done. Otherwise, an easy alternative to standing in the cold grilling…

This recipe reminded me of how much I love lamb. To be fair, I did add a dash of garlic powder and some parmesan cheese to the bread crumbs. But, I add garlic powder to just about everything… This was my husband’s first time trying lamb. He loved it. I am afraid I may have set the bar a bit too high. 🙂

This is my go to lamb chop recipe. It’s easy, fast and delicious. My 10 yr old son really likes it a lot too. Highly recommend! Thank you for this recipe 🙂

I used panko crumbs instead of bread crumbs and added rosemary sprigs to a couple of the chops. The meat came out moist and tender with a delicate flavor from the seasoning.

No I didn’t make any changes to the recipe and yes I will make it again.

really just ok… but super easy…

Very good. The crumbs definitely needed seasoning so I added S & P and also a little vegetable oil; mixed it thoroughly so they crumbs would stick better to the chops. Result was a crispy coating, tender and juicy meat. I was a little leery of the Worcestershire sauce but followed the recipe…it was quite good. Made this an all-in-one-pan meal by baking carrots and potatoes in the same pan.

This was a great way to trick my family into eating lamb. The only alteration I made was the addition of rosemary, thyme, garlic and black pepper to the breadcrumbs, to give it that traditional lamb flavor profile. I highly recommend it for people trying lamb for the first time.

My husband loved the baked lamb chops! I loved them also, because not only were they delicious, they were super easy to prepare! Have served them twice, and this recipe is definitely a keeper.

How something so simple can be so yummy and perfect is beyond me. These have become a regular staple at my house.

There was only the 2 of us, so I only used 4 chops! I cut the recipe in half and added some parmesan cheese, garlic powder salt and pepper and about 5 good shakes of Frank’s Hot Sauce.. The chops turned out really good, but I found them over cooked, so next time I would cut the timing down to 15 minutes …turn chops over then cook for another 15

Delicious!! I used corn meal instead of bread crumbs, and added some different seasonings (per other reviews advice). I’m not a big lamb fan, and I loved it.
