Very good! We left out the agave because we don’t like our drinks very sweet. It is pretty potent, so I may try to tone it down, as mentioned by a previous reviewer. I also like the idea of adding jalapeño, as someone else suggested!

Have to say, I was disappointed. I really enjoy Mescal and margaritas, but this lacked flair, flavor and depth. I’l try and rework it a bit, maybe add a jalapino or something to give it depth. I have had so much better. I’ll keep looking for similar.

i was really shocked at how much l liked mescal. loved the flavor of it. the margarita was good but its pretty darn potent for me. i’ll make it again but probably tone it down some so i dont look like im on the sail deck in heavy seas since im usually the one doing the cooking.

The mescal really adds some nice flavor. Took it one step further and picked up some smoked salt at whole foods to rim the glass and all I can say is that is one fantastic margarita smokey goodness.

This was delicious – the Mezcal was a pleasant surprise as I wasn’t expecting such a smoky flavor. Def. enjoyed it and will totally make this again. And wow – def. packs a punch!

I am using this recipe almost daily! I know, sounds like I am an alcoholic. Not so, but I am indeed enjoying it!

I’ve had more than a few tonight and can testify that this is a drink that brings it, yet is very tasty in the process!

Thanks for it!

PS, don’t try it if you only like wine coolers as your form of adult beverage. This is for the person who enjoys a good drink at least as much as they like a good dessert! It does pack a punch!

This is a strong tasting drink. I doubled the simple syrup. I had to go to three different liquor stores to find mezcal, but I’m glad I tried this recipe.

You have to try this margaritas,

My husband who is not a big margarita fan HAD 5 of these. All i did different just add little bit extra simple syrup. Great for gatherings, this is a next big hit in your parties. Make sure to get really good Taquilla.
