Ingredients

  1. 3 jalapeno chiles
  2. 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons tequila
  3. 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons lime juice (from about 5 limes), plus extra wedges for rims, optional
  4. 1/4 cup orange liqueur (recommended: Cointreau or Grand Marnier)
  5. 3 tablespoons guava juice
  6. Coarse salt or margarita salt

Instructions

  1. Put 2 jalapenos into a small bowl and top with 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons tequila. Cover and refrigerate for a day. Pour the spicy tequila into a pitcher and add 1/2 cup plus 2 tablespoons chilled lime juice, the orange liqueur, and the guava juice, and refrigerate again until chilled. Put salt into a small plate and use lime wedge to moisten the rims of margarita glasses. Halve, remove the seeds and thinly slice the third jalapeno. Garnish each glass with 1 slice. Pour the chilled margarita mixture into the glasses. Serve.

Me and my girls loved this recipe. You have to drink them asap don’t let it sit around. If you don’t like hot don’t try it. lol Also the candied jalapenos are very tasty all by themselves.Thank you Ingrid.

This recipe sounded good and looked pretty but this might be the worst margarita I have ever had. I made the recipe with the candied jalopenos. The jalopenos tasted good but the drink was terrible. The jalopeno flavor was too strong and overwhelmed the drink.

If you follow the recipe from the video then they are good but the written recipe is very different…process and amount of ingredients
