The BEST margarita for Cinco de Mayo party. Make in the morning, pop in the freezer, set out lime, salt, and glasses, and enjoy! Or, any other time of the year:)
I actually added 16 oz. of water. Which makes it a lighter drink. Other than that it is a perfect recipe.
Gz!!!!! Does it again. Excellent margarita!!! Thank you
Perfection! Yummmmmmmm
I halved the recipe, used citronge lime liquor instead of orange, honey instead of agave, added 1 juiced mandarin. I agree with the tequila forward comment. Will use less tequila next time. Very lively refreshing drink. Would give it five stars if the alcohol was balanced. I love margaritas and usually strong ones but this was more than strong.
Delish!
I made these a few weeks ago and just made them again – delicious!! My husband and I have tried 3 or 4 recipes from scratch and this one is so good. We were even trying to use up some tequila that wasn’t the best and these are so smooth and perfect. I also have my new crop of mint and some strawberries so I made that version (on the same episode) for me – yummy! We can’t wait to make them with better tequila! I don’t think we will ever buy a mix again ( unless we are trying to serve 15 or more people…lol..) Please try this recipe. Thanks GZ!
I rolled my small to med size limes and heated in the microwave ( 45 seconds on high for 3 limes) and it took 6-7 limes each half-batch ( 1 cup juice) that I made.
Very alcohol forward but good. I admit I was a wimp. I snuck some 7- up in mine. It was still very good and more my speed. But everyone loved them.
This was by far the most delicious Margarita — except, Whoa… GZ on the tequila content! We enjoyed it though — from what we can remember!
This was FANTASTIC!! Completely balanced and delicious! Thank you GZ, much appreciated!
