Ingredients

  1. 2 tablespoons kosher salt
  2. 2 tablespoons sugar
  3. Zest of 1 lime plus juice of 2 limes, reserving the lime halves for rimming the glasses
  4. 4 ounces tequila, such as Santo
  5. 1 ounce orange liqueur
  6. Splash agave nectar
  7. One 12-ounce can Mexican beer

Instructions

  1. Mix together the salt, sugar and lime zest in a shallow dish. Rub the rims of your margarita glasses with a lime half and dip into the salt mixture. Fill the glasses with ice and set aside.
  2. Add ice to a large cocktail shaker and add the lime juice. Add the tequila, orange liqueur and agave nectar and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled. Pour into the ice-filled margarita glasses. Top each glass off with beer.
