This meal is fantastic if you enjoy greens. They taste amazing because to the bacon and onions. To up the spice a bit, add additional red pepper.

I thought this dish was really flavorful but too sweet. My husband, being a Panda Express fan, loved it. In any event, I’d completely ditch the ketchup next time because it added an unneeded, conflicting taste. And I appreciated the advice of others to add green peppers and onion (and, in my case, snap peas). I think it really added great flavor and some much needed color/veggies.
WOW!!! That was awesome!! My family loved it. I didn’t have chicken tenders, so I sliced 3 thick chicken breasts. I didn’t change the ingredients at all. Looking at the ingredients, I originally thought it had way too much vinegar, but it was perfect! My husband loved the sauce so much, that he said to double the recipe next time. Also, make sure the oil is very hot so it turns nice and brown and crispy. Thank you!!
Delicious and easy! Better than most take out! I have made this several times now. I add a few red peppers slices and pineapple chunks and serve with jasmine rice.
This recipe is delicious! We have allergies in our family and Asian take out is absolutely off limits. This recipe is quick, easy and it satisfies my yearning for sweet and sour chicken. I will definitely make it again and again.
Delicious! I’m not big on leftovers, but these were eaten until gone!
Delicious, easy had all the ingredients in my Cupboard. Everyone loved it. Will definitely make again
Made this for the first time last night; followed recipe (well, added a bit of broccoli). Very tasty! Next time I will cut down on the insane amount of sugar. But there WILL be a next time!
I must confess I used Aldi’s Sweet & Sour sauce. I was looking for instructions on how to make the batter for the chicken. The secret is cornstarch. So 5 stars for giving me this secret treasure! Stir fired onion, green & orange peppers from garden and then added to the bake pan. Served over white rice with steamed broccoli and string beans. AMAZING
Easy & delicious
I added red yellow and Orange peppers and pineapple and this is one of the most savory dishes I have ever made! Family favorite!
This was so good and easy to make! My husband loved it! I did not have the recommended cider so I substituted balsamic vinaigrette. Yes, sauce appeared dark, but the taste was to die for. Definitely a repeat recipe!
Great and easy recipe! I used balsamic vinegar as that’s what I had on hand. So good. And, I made Jasmin rice! Simply delicious.
I made this recipe almost as written. I only used half the amount of ketchup and replaced the other half with a spicy chili garlic sauce to give it a little kick. My roommate said he would have preferred a little less vinegar, but I thought it was perfect. Served it with jasmine rice and veggies (sugar snap peas, carrots, fresh green beans, and red bell pepper). Yummy!
I have made this several times. My family loves it!
Really easy, really delicious sweet and sour chicken. My husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed this–not only for the flavor, but for the ease of making it. I deducted one star just because of the baking time: my chicken tenders were done in only 25 minutes–so that’s something I’d definitely keep an eye on, depending on the size of your chicken tenders. I also used honey in place of sugar, and rice wine vinegar in place of cider vinegar. It was delicious! I will definitely be making this again. Thank you for the recipe!
This is a great, easy recipe. I made it exactly as written, except I poured the sauce over the chicken in the oven-proof skillet, shoved it In the oven, and baked it for only 30 minutes. Perfect. Thanks for posting this delicious recipe.
Family loved it!
Family loved it!
This was so good and tasty. Instead of ordering out, we’ll now make this. Power outage, when it was ready for the oven. Had used a metal pan. Finished the last 40 minutes in the grill with lid closed.
This sweet and sour chicken really is AMAZING and so easy to make! My husband said “I like this better than a Chinese restaurant”! Next time I will add some chunked pineapple because I missed that. I used orange & red bell peppers, just because they are better than green. Can’t wait to make it again!
big hit with the family!
