Quick and Easy Pizza Roll

My three little boys (all under five years old) can assist me in making this quick and simple crowd-pleaser recipe. They enjoy watching me roll everything up while I sprinkle cheese and pepperoni on top.

Ingredients

  1. 1 (13.8 ounce) can prepared pizza dough
  2. 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  3. 1 (8 ounce) package sliced pepperoni
  4. 1 ½ cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  5. cooking spray
  6. 1 cup pizza sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll pizza dough onto the baking sheet and stretch it slightly. Cover evenly with mozzarella cheese. Scatter pepperoni over the cheese. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
  3. Roll up the dough starting from the shortest end. Center the roll on the baking sheet. Spray the outside with cooking spray.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven until golden brown, about 25 minutes. Slice and serve with pizza sauce.
  5. Use rumbled cooked sausage or a similar pizza topping instead of pepperoni.
  6. Use an Italian cheese blend in place of the mozzarella cheese, if desired.
