This salad pairs beautifully with spaghetti or meat and is deliciously crisp. Even excellent is the homemade dressing!

Ingredients

  1. 1 (10.75 ounce) can Campbell’s® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup (Regular or 98% Fat Free)
  2. 1 pound ground beef
  3. ⅓ cup Italian-seasoned dry bread crumbs
  4. 1 small onion, finely chopped
  5. 1 egg, beaten
  6. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  7. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  8. 2 tablespoons water
  9. 1 ½ cups sliced mushrooms

Instructions

  1. Thoroughly mix 1/4 cup soup, beef, bread crumbs, onion and egg in a large bowl. Shape the beef mixture firmly into 4 (1/2-inch-thick) burgers.
  2. Heat the oil in a 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Add the burgers and cook until they’re well browned on both sides. Pour off any fat.
  3. Add the remaining soup, Worcestershire, water and mushrooms to the skillet and heat to a boil. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the burgers are cooked through.
  4. Tip: You can substitute ground turkey for the ground beef in this recipe.

This tastes delicious, but my patties fell apart. They seemed too wet. I think next time I will reduce the amount of soup and onions.

I enjoyed this recipe. i used ground venison because I had some in the freezer. I used Slap Ya Mama Seasoning in the burger and gravy. i am glad I doubled the gravy as one of the other reviewers did. i will definitely make this again.

Very good as is

This was a big hit. Needed more salt and more Worcestershire sauce, in my opinion, and a bit more water to make more sauce. I also put in more fresh mushrooms. This is NOT a criticism of the original recipe! I like a recipe that can be easily adjusted to suit different tastes.

This was amazing! The flavor was hearty. Came out really moist. Burgers fell apart instantly when served, though. I might try very lean ground beef next time I make this.

Our burgers fell apart! I am thinking we used too many onions. It had great taste though. May try again sometime.

served with egg noodles. my whole family loved these!

Great flavor! Suggestions: I doubled the Worcestershire, and added minced garlic. I would remove the patties after step 2, then add them back to skillet after mixing everything together, then simmer.

hamburger mixture came out way too moist, patties didn’t hold shape. Good flavor will try it again.

Delicious comfort food! I am sensitive to gluten so had to make a few small changes. Used homemade soup from a recipe on this site and omitted the bread crumbs and Worcestershire sauce. I added garlic powder instead of onions (don’t like them) and some pepper. I didn’t need the water since my soup wasn’t condensed. After cooking with the lid on, I cooked an additional 10 min with the lid off to thicken the soup sauce. Served over quinoa, tasted great! Next time will add more soup over top to make more sauce.

I love this recipe! I use cream of mushroom in a can. My mother use to make it all the time on burgers, porkchops and chicken! Its very cheap and yummy!

Pretty good. I made my burgers with turkey and they fell apart. Next time I will add more bread crumbs.

Simple and delish!

I liked this. I added extra water because the soup seemed too thick, once the mushrooms cooked down I had plenty of liquid. I would make this again, it’s quick and easy.

This is good. I have been making a very similar dish for awhile. The only difference is that I don’t add the worcestershire sauce or the water to the final sauce. It is good both ways. This version has a stronger tasting sauce because of the worcestershir, but they are both good.

Really good! I didn’t have mushroom soup so I used Cream of Chicken. My husband and I really enjoyed this and he has asked me to make it again. Thanks Campbell’s!
