It must be heaven if it only requires a few simple, affordable ingredients, takes little time to prepare, and tastes so good! Excellent delicious lemon cake that tastes great warm with cream for dessert or cold with coffee!

Love it! This will be my go to sloppy Joe recipe! No more canned Manwhich for me.

Exactly the recipe I wanted. Ketchup already is too sweet in my opinion so I leave out the brown sugar and put in a small amount of molasses instead. I have some (unseasoned) rice vinegar in the ketchup as well because I just like that tang it gives and rice vinegar does not have the strong flavor apple cider vinegar does. So happy to find one of the rare sloppy joe recipes that aren’t just boiling ground beef in cola sweet ketchup!

Excellent recipe. Definitely take the full 20 minutes for it to simmer. Also I added some finely chopped green pepper and a splash of Worcestershire sauce. Next time I might try Sriracha Ketchup instead of plain.

This is my go to Sloppy Joe recipe. I found it a Tab to sweet as well so I cut the brown sugar to 1 TBS, added 1/2 tsp of garlic powder and 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce.

I will never use can mix again! Delicious! Has. Mild sweetness to it but not overly sweet. I just added some pepper. Next time I might add green peppers.

I read thru a few recipes and a some were ridiculous (add two cups of water and simmer for forty five min)? I didn’t bother with the 8 oz of tomato sauce. For the onions I added some I caramelized earlier in the week. Hodie’s is the way to go. ready to dig in and under twenty minutes.

This recipe was very easy with things on hand – but it just didn’t have the right flavor – the apple cider vinegar flavor was just too strong – even after simmering.

Turned out great! I made this for a potluck at work. All I added to the recipe was diced onions and green pepper and cooked it in a slow cooker. Needless to say, there was no leftovers.

Quick, easy, and tasty.

Put in 2 8-oz cans Roasted Garlic tomato sauce, no ketchup, reduced brown sugar by half, added garlic powder and 2 t Worcestershire sauce. Simmered 20 mins.

I accidentally put too little meat without proportioning out the other ingredients so it was very tomato-y.

This was good, however, I did make some changes based on other people’s reviews. I added fresh garlic and omitted the onion because my son will not eat anything with onions in it. I added some onion powder, fresh ground pepper, a pinch of red pepper flakes and some Worcestershire sauce. I topped the sandwiches off with French Fried Onions (for those in the family that like onions). Turned out delicious this way.

There was no flavor to this recipe at all. I have tried many different recipes for sloppy joes and this was my absolute least favorite.

Nice & easy recipe. We would have given it 5 stars but had to add a few things to it. That said, it’s a nice base recipe that can be easily personalized to your own taste.

No changes Yes I will make it again

Made it according to the recipe and it was excellent. Never again will I use that canned stuff. Served it with coleslaw and fries.

My man is pretty particular about his sloppy joe’s so when I used this recipe and he told me it was the best he ever had 2x, I knew this would be a permanent recipe for our home.
