This casserole with ground beef and spinach is excellent. Even my husband, who dislikes spinach, like this dish! And when I brought it to a church potluck, it received excellent reviews.

I tried this with fresh spinach and I also added finely chopped red pepper, celery and carrot (for more veg). I also used reduced fat celery soup, light sour cream (25% less fat) and reduced fat mozzarrella. I did it on stovetop and it was so fast and delicious! Defo on my list of favourites now.

One of our favorite meals to make! We use fresh spinach and mushrooms and sometimes add zoodles. So good.

Great start for a casserole! I used ground turkey, all the veggies, and no soup or sour cream, and it was delicious! Definitely a keeper!

An easy, comforting casserole that lends itself to whatever adaptations you like. I made some minor modifications based on what I had on hand and personal preference (ground turkey, fresh mushrooms, extra seasoning, diced celery sauteed with the onion, Gruyere cheese for the topping) and then layered the final mixture with parboiled sliced potatoes (1/4″) before baking. While it’s a bit basic to become a household favorite, it’s definitely worth repeating from time to time. Plus it will make great leftovers!

Love the ingredients, not the method. This will be a skillet meal in my house. Cook the meat with the onions, drain, add remaining ingredients, heat through, add cheese on top. Lower the flame and cover for 5 minutes for the cheese to melt. Why mess up another dish?

I made this recipe the other night for the first time, I substituted a bag of fresh spinach instead of frozen, added more seasonings, it was so good I gave some to my lake neighbors, he raved about it being so good and has asked when I’m making it again, great tasty recipe, so easy to make

Absolutely loved it, no complaints from the kids which is always good. It was not as thick as I thought it would be and had to cook on the stove top a lot longer than 5 minutes. I did sub the canned mushrooms for fresh same as spinach, I also used cream of mushroom soup. I will definitely make this recipe again. The flavor was depot on. I also added extra hot sauce.

I’m the chef in our house and I’m always looking for new recipes. My wife is not one to like spicy food, so I thought this recipe would make for a good dinner change for us. I tweaked the recipe just a bit. I only had a 1/4 cup of sour cream so I used it and a 1/4 cup of heavy cream. I also added 2 cups of cooked wide egg noodles. My wife loved it and even went back for seconds. I spiced my dish up after it was served by adding pepper flake. Absolutely yummy.

This is excellent! My husband was hesitant at first, due to the look of it. However now I make it everywhere week, as he asks for it.

I made this as written and it was very yummy! I served it over rice for my hubby and over broccoli slaw for myself to cut carbs. I might add more garlic next time, but that’s just a personal preference. Thanks for a great recipe!

The recipe was not bad. I added elbow macaroni, for a heartier casserole. Needs at least 2 cans of cream of celery soup, less spinach. Not like a wow this is good Ill cook it again but not bad

I was a little worried because my wife does not like dishes that are creamy. She loved it! Nice casserole, holding its firmness and not too creamy. I used ground turkey instead of ground beef. I added extra garlic. No such thing as too much garlic. I used the frozen spinach but I used fresh mushrooms instead of canned. I embellished on the hot sauce because we both like spicy. I baked it longer at 300 instead of 350 due to some logistics. It looked great with a slightly brown cheese crust on top and my wife said make it again and again!

After reading the reviews I added penne pasta. I did not have the soup in the house so I added cream cheese. I also added fresh spinach and onion. It came out very tasty.

Just ok

A little too much spinach for my crowd. Will add more meat next time.

Loved it. I had a bunch of fresh spinach and mushrooms and a pound of lean hamburger as well as a can of cream of celery soup so it was meant to be! It came together nicely using fresh options instead of canned or frozen. It was simple and very tasty!

I gave 4 stars because I changed it a bit. I didn’t think it would be that great with beef so I made it with ground turkey. I added a little cream cheese and some nutmeg and went light on Italian mix seasonings and ommitted hot sauce because no one here likes it. I didn’t have cream of celery so I used cream of mushroom. I wish I’d added more sauteed mushrooms because the mushrooms made it. I served it over egg noodles and it was really good. Everyone liked it.

I thought it was easy to make and tasty. I made it as directed except I used a cast iron skillet to prepare and bake with a few minutes under the broiler cook the cheese to my liking.

Easy, delicious and filling without alot of calories and worked for the Rv oven.. forgive the lighting

I made this recipe but I changed it up a little bit. Instead of using the soup I used 4 cheese Alfredo sauce. I also added elbow noodles. I seasoned it to my liking. Instead of baking in a casserole dish, I baked in my cast iron skillet. This dish is delicious.
