Sausage and herbs are used to flavor the lentil soup. For a chilly winter day, a substantial soup is ideal.

Total Time: 35 mins
Servings: 6

Ingredients

  1. 1 (12 ounce) box Barilla® Gluten Free Spaghetti
  2. ½ cup chopped onion
  3. 1 cup chopped raw bacon
  4. 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  5. 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed, cut 1 inch long on a bias
  6. 5 large egg yolks, lightly beaten
  7. ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  8. salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.

  3. Mix yolks with cheese in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper; set aside.
  4. Toss pasta with bacon and asparagus mixture in the skillet until warmed through. Remove the skillet from heat.
  5. Fold yolk mixture into pasta; stir vigorously until yolks thicken and coat spaghetti. Serve immediately.

Just incredible! The perfect blend of flavors and a crunch with the asparagus! Barilla gluten free pasta is terrific.

I really liked this dish! It’s very easy to make and has so many great flavors. This is one we’ll be adding to the dinner rotation. I used 10oz of pasta instead of 12oz to avoid it being dry.

nice but not saucy enough – 370 grams gf spag too much – maybe try 250 grams and an extra egg yolk.

Easy and delicious! The sauce created with egg yolk is silky and luxurious, coating each noodle with the perfect amount of yumminess.

The great Italian marriage of eggs and asparagus prove pretty nicely with pasta. Add bacon…and well, who’s going to complain? The Barilla GF pasta is perfect with its balance of taste and texture, not something you find in gluten free pastas. Thank you for the recipe!
