I have wowed people with this recipe for over 10 years! Super good and simple! Will occasionally add mushrooms and ALWAYS add garlic!!

I made this as the recipe is written and it came out fantastic! The kids and husband gobbled it up. Even the two picky kids had second helpings.

I added garlic with the bacon. I think I should have not had it on the heat because the noodles were hot enough to melt the sauce. I added half cup of pasta water at the end. It helped to make the pasta silkier. I added peas as you can see and put in chilli flakes.

Oh yes! This is better than a fine Italian restaurant

It was a great recipe- everyone loved it…hubby and both kids that all have different tastes! I also added peas and garlic powder. Lots of ways to tweak it to your family’s liking! Definitely one I’ll make again!

How have I lived 60 years on this earth having never tasted Carbonara? This recipe is excellent and one I’ll likely make again and again.

This is so easy and just a brilliant recipe. I’ve made this several times and the family just love it. Well done.

I agree with others, this recipe needs more – I’ve usually had it with peas and sometimes mushrooms.

I made this for the family, and all mine of us loved it! added a diced brown onion and browned it slightly before adding the bacon and finishing it off. Overall very well balanced dish that goes well with kids ????

I loved the recipe! I was craving a good carbonara but lost the recipe I had long ago. Found this one, and with the addition of red onion and frozen peas (sauteed in the bacon grease, btw) combined with the perfect proportion of the wet ingredients as laid out in the recipe, the taste took me back to my first carbonara in a restaurant in Dayton, Oh! I will definitely make this dish again…it’s the new hit in my house!

It was ok but it needed a lot of salt and pepper to give it the good flavor.

it was all perfect and delicious until I got stomachache. I assume it was for so many eggs. But it tasted perfectly fine.

After reading other reviews, I used 3 eggs, and cut the bacon before frying. I substituted milk for the cream and turkey bacon for regular bacon. Definitely needed the salt and pepper. Enjoyed and will make again.

This recipe is great, very quick and easy. I used a whole can of coconut milk instead of heavy cream. Doubled the parmesan cheese, and added garlic salt as well as salt and pepper. Made for a very creamy and delicious carbonara!

I hate to say this was pretty bland, maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be?
