This is a tasty, smoky recipe that can be prepared in a slow cooker without the need of a grill or smoker. The onion buns that my husband and I prefer this dish on can be freshly baked or toasted, but really any bread will do. Fries and occasionally slaw are served with it. Enjoy.

Reviews
One star is way too generous but I can’t give a negative 10 ! Absolutely horrible! Threw the entire dinner away! The amount of cream is absolutely ridiculous and wrecks the whole meal. I couldn’t find my recipe but the ingredients are similar….this was nothing like mine. I feel like sending you the bill for the time and money I just wasted!
This is my go-to for chicken. So easy and so tasty!
So disappointed. After all the raving reviews, this was so tasteless.
Super fantastic. No wonder there are so many 5 star reviews. It’s too good to be so simple!!
This is fantastic! I’ve made it 5+ times. The only change is to triple the sauce since we eat it over egg noodles, pasta, or mashed potatoes.
We absolutely loved this recipe! My boyfriend a pickier eater even loved it! I made it exactly as shown but agree with everyone we needed more sauce! It was delicious but had hardly any leftover once finished. Would have been nice over a side dish or even for leftovers the next day. I will definitely make this again but with double the sauce!
Easy and Delicious, I doubled the Recipe and it made ample delicious sauce. I will make it again.
It was so simple yet tasted amazing. I seasoned the chicken beforehand with allpurpose, salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. Family licked the plates!!!!
Delicious! I substituted marsala with merlot. I added green and red peppers, and substituted heavy cream with milk and butter
Loved it. Added more mushrooms and used Greek yogurt instead of heavy cream. Cooked the onions first, added the chicken which I cut into smaller pieces, sautéed til done, then added the mushrooms. Didn’t have green onions so used regular onions. Also added some Italian seasoning and garlic salt instead of salt, and served over rice.
This recipe is so easy and yummy! I made one alteration: dusted the chicken with flour. I would definitely make this for friends or family, or simply for a quick midweek dinner.
This was delicious and enjoyed by everyone! I did pound thin and dredge the chicken first in flour, garlic and a little salt – sauté in butter and olive oil. Set aside, cook mushrooms, green onion and garlic-add 1 cup Marsala and 8 oz. Heavy cream. Salt and pepper as needed, serve over Angel Hair. So easy!
A husband pleaser
This is a good quick recipe for something delicious. Next time I will use more mushrooms. The sauce is creamy and satisfying.
Did as it said , next time will use chicken broth and other seasonings overall though was good for a quick dinner.
It was all right, but it needed some work. I dredged with flour, salt, and garlic powder and beat it flat with a meat mallet in a ziploc bag. This gives it a more fried texture and a skin to work with. I also seasoned the broth with salt and pepper as it was too bland. Also try and triple the sauce like others had suggested.
Very easy and delicious. I added a little extra cream instead of milk, and substituted sweet onions for the green onions. I love Marsala Sauce, and this recipe will definitely go into my rotation!
Followed recipe pretty close. Added a green pepper. Really liked the sauce.
Wonderful, I doubled the sauce as others suggested. Also pounding the breast to about 1/2″. Cooked chicken then set aside to avoid overcooking. Made the sauce as listed with two exceptions. Added tablespoon of minced garlic and used 1 cup of heavy cream leaving out the milk. It was awesome. Thank you for the recipe!
It was delicious– definitely company worthy!!
I added spinach and a little chicken broth.
