Crab Legs with Garlic Butter Sauce

A quick and simple recipe for crab legs that only takes 20 minutes to prepare! At the market, I ultimately purchased some snow crab legs that were on sale. I ended up mixing a few ingredients to create this amazing crab leg recipe because I wanted something a little different than simple steamed, boiled, or grilled crab legs. Shrimp would also work well in this meal.

Prep Time: 5 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 20 mins
Servings: 2

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound Snow Crab clusters, thawed if necessary
  2. ¼ cup butter
  3. 1 clove garlic, minced
  4. 1 ½ teaspoons dried parsley
  5. ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  6. ⅛ teaspoon salt

I wanted to try something different. This is easy and excellent! Much better than boiled crab legs.

Made it as per recipe and my daughter LOVED it! She nearly ate the whole pound, before I even sat down!

Great recipe but i used fresh chives instead of parsley. And I think next time I would use scissors to cut it up better before cooking

I was very pleasantly surprised as I was skeptical about whether the crab would be done in 5-6 minutes. I pondered boiling them first, but decided not to. They turned out great. As others mentioned, multiple napkins were the order of the day. I too added some shrimp. I did 2 pounds for the two of us and had a little left over.

We love it. Although we dipped it in butter when eating it it taste great as is. Splitting the legs made it a lot easier to eat. Kudos.

I was delicious and very flavorful. I added a little more butter and the other seasonings. But overall very tasty and I’ll be making it again soon

This is a great and very easy recipe. We made it last night for dinner. Did everything exactly according to the recipe, but we found that the parsley made it a bit dry as the crab legs were sautéing. We added more butter, which helped. We also added lemon wedges at the table for added zip. We will definitely be making this again many times!

I enjoyed the recipe. I made this for my mom and she loved it. I added shrimp with the crab, chives and a touch of cilantro with the parsley, butter and garlic.

No changes made. We cooked both crab and shrimp. It was amazing! I loved the buttery goodness! Crab is meant to be messy! I didn’t even have to dip it in butter!

Super Easy! We are used to boiling crab legs, but this way is quick and the meat soaks the flavor. We let the legs steam in the pot as the shrimps and scallops were cooking with mixed veggies

This recipe is so yummy and so easy. I added chopped up lobster tails and shrimp. Next time I’m going to double the butter sauce so that I can dip baby dip!!

Overcome the messy shell issue by steaming the crab legs for a bit, removing the shell and proceeding with the recipe. Add the shells and any liquid from cooking them when you make the garlic butter sauce. Keeping the shells in the sauce, lightly saute the “naked legs” in the enhanced garlic butter sauce. Prepare more legs than anticipated as all gobbled up quickly. It solves the “messy to eat” issue and hopefully slows down the rate at which the legs are eaten.

it was okay but not the best.
