Pizza with a Cajun twist is a quick and simple meal that the whole family will enjoy. Instead of naan bread, you can substitute any pre-made pizza crust.

Ingredients
- 4 (3/4 inch) thick pork chops
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- ⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 medium tart apples – peeled, cored and sliced
- 3 tablespoons pecans (Optional)
Instructions
- Place a medium baking dish into the oven and preheat to 175 degrees F (80 degrees C).
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Brush chops lightly with oil and place into the hot pan. Cook until no longer pink in the center, 5 to 6 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 145 degrees F (63 degrees C). Transfer to the baking dish in the preheated oven to keep warm.
- Stir brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and pepper together in a small bowl.
- Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Stir in apples and brown sugar mixture. Cover and cook until apples are just tender, about 5 minutes. Leaving the sauce in the skillet, remove apples with a slotted spoon and arrange over pork chops; keep warm in the oven.
- Continue to cook sauce, uncovered, until thickened slightly, 2 to 3 minutes.
- Remove pork chops from the oven. Spoon sauce over top and sprinkle with pecans.

Reviews
Quick, easy and delicious. Based on other reviews I added an extra apple. Will definitely make again. I think a 1/4 tspn of apple pie spice would work as well as 1/8 tspn of nutmeg & cinnamon. Made with peas and mashed potatoes.
We loved this recipe. The second time we made, I added a small dollop of caramel apple dip before adding apples. Delicious!
This was an easy meal to make and immediately became a family favorite
I reduced the recipe to two servings which doesn’t allow for much sauce. I think I would still make the same amount of apples and sauce and just reserve some for leftovers. I will try again, but I am thinking about brining the pork chops for a few hours in an apple juice mixture with cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and pepper. I will post again once I try that.
Yuuuummmmyyyy
Great Pork chop recipe, just enough sweetness.
Delicious! My husband couldn’t stop talking about how much he liked them. This from someone who doesn’t like pork
I added probably 1/2 tbsp more brown sugar as we like things sweeter. The only thing I would change is reducing the apples by 1. Otherwise, this was great
Pretty easy and delicious
After browning the pork chops I placed them in a steamer basket in pressure cooker/instant pot over water with cinnamon and nutmeg for 20 min. Was beyond fork tender and infused with flavor!!!! I added raisins and the pecans to the brown sugar mixture( doubled sauce amounts)also used green apples.
Fallow the recipe or dont reveiw it. pan fried chops are awsome! the apple in the dripings were great.
Easy. Delicious.
Very easy to make and had wonderful flavor.
These were some of the most delicious pork chops that I have ever eaten. I did make double sauce which was just right and I used 3 gayla apples. I also substituted allspice for nutmeg and served with cheddar cheese potatoes and a green bean medley. Jucy, well crusted pork chops topped with warm apple pie filing. Seriously scrumptious!
Terrible. When made exactly as directed it resulted in a dry pork chop with very little “sauce”. I would take the advice of others and alter this recipe. It needs to be baked or simmered in some apple juice or something. I would not make again. This is basically unseasoned fried chops with fried apples poured on top.
I’ll never buy store bought apple sauce ever again.
This has become a new family favorite! Our grocery store substituted the Granny Smith apples I ordered with Red Delicious apples so the dish was a little on the sweet side, however we’re looking forward to making this again, but with tart apples!
Wow! This is delicious! For sides, I made stuffing with onion, celery, mushrooms, chopped fresh sage and parsley from the herb garden, and corn cut from the cob and sautéed briefly in butter. Great fall flavors! After browning the chops and topping with the apples, I baked at 350, covered, about 20 minutes while the stuffing baked. Added a bit of cider to the sauce and reduced to syrupy consistency, then drizzled over chops and apples before serving. This recipe is a keeper!
So delicious!!! I added red onion and used honey crisp apples best pork chops I’ve ever made
Couldn’t wait till fall when I found a bag of cranberries in the freezer!! Grilled the chops and added them to the apple mixture for the last five minutes….the deck smelled so very good!!
Delicious
