After much trial and error, I developed this recipe for a turkey meatloaf that is healthier. To allow the liquids to drain off, it is crucial to prepare this on a jelly-roll pan (rimmed baking sheet). Additionally, avoid adding the topping until the meatloaf has cooked for 30 minutes because doing so will cause the topping to become watery and runny because ground turkey produces a lot of liquids.

Yield: | 1 meatloaf |
Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds ground turkey
- ¾ cup crushed buttery round crackers
- ½ cup milk
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ½ teaspoons salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ cup ketchup
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a jelly-roll pan.
- Mix ground turkey, crushed crackers, milk, onion, egg, garlic, salt, and black pepper in a bowl. Shape mixture into a loaf and place on the prepared pan.
- Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in a separate bowl; set aside.
- Bake meatloaf in preheated oven for 30 minutes; remove from the oven and drain off liquids. Top meatloaf with ketchup topping.
- Return loaf to the oven and continue baking until no longer pink in the center, about 30 minutes more; an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 160 degrees F (71 degrees C).

Very easy to follow turned out moist
Fantastic! I used bread crumbs instead of crackers. I added a little extra black pepper and Worscestershire sauce. I used green onions rather than white/yellow. Lastly, we used 1 clove of garlic rather than 2, since my husband can’t eat a lot of it.
Frozen turkey was too wet so it was a little flat. Flavor was very good but we added sauteed onions and it really popped
Easy to make and super delicious! And it stays together! Other Turkey meatloaf recipes fall apart.
This meatloaf was delicious !!! So moist and tasty. I had adjusted to recipe to 1/2c Breadcrumb/ 1/2 c crushed ritz and halved the topping as it was too much. My husband I think this is the best turkey loaf
I love this meatloaf and its the only one I make. Follow it true to form.
I used Italian bread crumbs. Meatloaf is very moist and tasty.
I used bread crumbs instead of crushed crackers. Taste good to me.
I very rarely review recipes, but wow, this was delicious! I was skeptical because when I make my ground beef meatloaf I add a lot of different seasonings. I made this recipe exactly as written. It was amazing. I would not change anything about it or add anything to it. My son-in-law loved it and he’s hard to please. Thank you for sharing. This is going into the weekly rotation.
This was very tasty and by far my husband’s favorite meatloaf recipe hands down!!
As I don’t eat Red meat, I use ground Turkey for meatballs (bake in cupcake pans) and Meatloaf. I always add half pound ground pork so Turkey will not be dry or/and half pound chorizo. I use bread crumbs or stuffing mix. An egg. NO milk. A little bbq sauce, sauteed peppers, onions, big fan of Garlic. Don’t like bland food so I season “heavy handed”. Lol.
Not a ground turkey lover but wanted to try anyway. I added a little bit of fresh celery, and used Ritz crackers…I alway put two strips of bacon on any meatloaf.. This was delicious and would definitely make it again. Since I cook for me, I sliced and put some in the freezer.
This recipe is GREAT! I didn’t have crackers so I used bread crumbs. I didn’t have Worcestershire sauce so I googled a recipe and made it to add to the topper. It was great and my family loved it! I will continue to use this recipe.
The recipe was good although I needed a bigger portion and only had some ground beef to add (which you would obviously not do) I also added green peppers and a package of onion soup mix. The glaze on top was delicious. The kids didn’t hesitate to get seconds.
I loved this meatloaf! I’ve made it three times and it’s always perfect!
I make this probably about every other month. I add celery to the mixture along with garlic salt. The topping makes this flavorful which I put on about the last ten minutes of cooking. Very good.
Good! Didn’t change it much, just incorporated some ketchup& ketchup mix in to the dish before cooking. No sugar either. Ketchup has plenty. Other crackers can be used
Perfect!
The first time I’m trying this recipe and it turned out great I added more because I was doing more for the kid’s I didn’t use the onions because I’m allergic to those but everything was great it turned out wonderful Thanks will be trying it again
This recipe has become a family fav! Flavorful. Moist. Addictive. You forget it’s turkey!
Yum! My teenage boys dig into this with just as much gusto as a beef meatloaf. I don’t use the crushed crackers; I prefer seasoned bread crumb. I double the recipe and use 3lbs. of ground turkey. I have very little left over.
