PERFECTION Thank you….
I have made these several times but always before with a boneless pork butt. This week I couldn’t find any boneless pork roasts except loin. Safeway had a good deal on a value pack of boneless pork ribs so that is what i used. I cooked them 4 hours in the crockpot on high. I was unexpectedly called away from home so my husband shredded and added barbecue sauce and put them in the fridge. The next day I reheated them on low in the crockpot for two hours. Delicious on brioche buns with mustard and sliced onion!
It was absolutely delicious. Easy to make. The whole family loved it.
I actually took the advice of another user (amethyst something.. I have a bad memory) and I used her recipe for BBQ sauce, which she added to her review. It was really, REALLY good! Even my youngest daughter took time to tell me how great it was! I felt the same as some others, that using just some store bought bottle of sauce, and that’s it, seemed a little bland.. I’m really glad the separate sauce recipe was available, as that’s absolutely what made it so good!
Easy and delicious!
Great Recipe! My hard to please family loved it. I will definitely make this again.
Family of Five gives it Five stars! I chop up an onion and throw it in the crock-pot before I put the meat and beef stock in. We use Sweet Baby Ray’s Honey Barbecue Sauce and Kitchen Basics Beef Stock. When its ready to go into the oven, I put the meat into my cast iron skillet and cook it longer than the recommended 30 min until most of the liquid is gone. Of course, stirring every now an then for even yummmm. The longer it slow cooks in the oven the tastier it gets as the sugars in the barbecue sauce caramelize.
This is ridiculously easy and really delicious. There is no reason to post your recipes here. This is great! The one we use. I use a pork roast, otherwise, broth and bbq sauce, as written! Yummy
This recipe is very simple and delicious. I like how there are few ingredients and you can cook it in a slow cooker and forget about it. My family loved it. We’ll definitely make this recipe again.
I made and cooked as written with exception of using chicken broth instead of beef. I made an extra amount so I had to cook in oven half at a time due to small oven. I put back into crock and refrigerated. An hour before people were coming over, I put back in crock pot to warm up. I saw that all the delicious toasted portions had softened so an half hour before eating, I put back in oven for half an hour. The hardened cooked sugars and toasted taste returned. So delicious.
I made it with pork roast and it was delicious. I followed recipe and was pleased.
Made a ton of changes because we are on a very strict diet for food intolerances but still loved it!
The easiest recipe ever! I made it the night before in the crock pot. I used some of the juices and mixed in the B sauce and heated in a sauce pan the next day for dinner!
I followed this recipe exactly and it was excellent. Even my picky 8 year old granddaughter liked it. I used sweet baby Rays bbq sauce and shredded the meat in my kitchen aid mixer. I love easy recipes that taste great. This is definitely a keeper and I’m sure will make it into our regular rotation.
Yummy! Used 3.5 lbs of a cheaper cut of pork. Kept in the slow cooker for 6 hours and I barely had to pull apart the meat. I read through some reviews and decided to follow the recipe in regards to putting the pork in the oven. It turned out lovely! Nice crisp ends.
Huge family favorite. It’s perfect just the way it is!
Turned out great!
Super easy and cheap! I didn’t have a Dutch oven or iron skillet so for the baking portion I used a glass pan. Would bake a little longer to get it a little crispier, but other than that it’s awesome!
I added onions to the broth and meat, some seasonings… (of my choice) but in the end… fantastic!!!! Thank you for the quicker version …
Super easy and super tasty. The whole family enjoyed. Definitely will be making again.
I made this recently using boneless, skinless chicken breasts and chicken bouillon instead. It was AWESOME!!!! The pork version was super delicious as well. It deserves 10 stars!!
