Baked lobster tails that are luscious and tender, with lemon, parsley, and garlic. Serve with any remaining melted butter or sauce from the pan. Just delicious!

Cook Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 35 mins
Servings: 8
Yield: 8 lobster tails

Ingredients

  1. 8 small lobster tails
  2. 1/2 cup salted butter, melted
  3. 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
  4. 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  5. 1 pinch seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay), or to taste
  6. 1/2 lemon, juiced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  2. Cut lobster tails straight down the middle using kitchen shears. Butterfly the lobster meat by pulling it through the opening and laying the meat on top of the shell. Rinse tails under water; place in an oven-safe baking dish.
  3. Combine melted butter, garlic powder, and parsley in a bowl. Mix together with a spoon.
  4. Season lobster tails with seafood seasoning and pour melted butter mixture on top until each tail is completely covered. Squeeze lemon juice over top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven until shells are bright red and meat is opaque, 12 to 15 minutes. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the centers should read 140 to 145 degrees F (60 to 63 degrees C).
  6. You can use frozen, thawed lobster tails.

All I did was reduced the number of tails from 8 to 5 and adjusted accordingly.

I think this is an easy/simple recipe for anyone. I’m 59 years old with many disabilities & was able to cook this for my adult children and their mates for Valentine’s Day 2023.

Great, simple absolutely delicious. Used Bay seasoning and minced garlic for better flavor than powder garlic. Will use this again, thanks.

I used Paul Prudomme seafood magic, poured butter over before cooking and afterwards, squeezed half lemon over two tails….This was delicious. I will be having lobster tails more often. This was so simple

Used half of this recipe for a single, large tail (10oz). I replaced the garlic powder with 1-2 cloves of chopped garlic. Came out great, paired with scampi-style pasta, brussel sprouts, and a fresh baguette. Added a spritz of fresh lemon juice after taking out of the oven.

This was a quick but delicious way to prepare lobster tails. I used Tony Chachere’s seasoning and lemon pepper instead of lemon juice. What I loved about the recipe was that the butter collected in the pan, became just short of being browned, and was an excellent “sauce” for dipping.
