The creamy wine sauce accompanies this rendition of the traditional chicken Cordon Bleu (which translates to “blue ribbon”). Originally, the phrase referred to a prize for outstanding cooking.

Yield: 3 burgers

Ingredients

  1. 1 (12 ounce) package meatless ground beef substitute (such as Beyond Meat® Beyond Beef Plant-Based Ground)
  2. nonstick cooking spray
  3. 1 ½ teaspoons steak seasoning (such as McCormick®)

Instructions

  1. Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Form ground beef substitute into three equal patties.
  3. Spray the top of one patty with nonstick spray and sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon seasoning. Flip over, place in the air fryer basket, and spray and season the other side. Repeat with remaining patties.
  4. Cook in the preheated air fryer for 3 minutes. Flip with a spatula and cook until done, about 3 minutes longer. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read at least 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
  5. If your air fryer is small, you may only be able to cook one burger at a time.
