The ground turkey-stuffed peppers are a delicious substitute for the beef and rice-stuffed varieties.

Ingredients
- 1 (16 ounce) package elbow macaroni
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ cup pesto
- ½ cup sour cream
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook elbow macaroni in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until tender yet firm to the bite, 8 minutes. Drain.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the hot skillet until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease. Stir pesto and sour cream into ground beef until warmed; add macaroni and mix well.
- I prefer red pesto (with roasted tomatoes.) Amounts can vary according to preference.

Reviews
It was a pretty decent recipe, we added a cheesy garlic seasoning to ours.
I had to add much more seasoning, Very bland. Needed garlic powder, Italian seasonings and something else??? I used roasted tomatoes pesto.
I thought this was okay. It needs more flavor.
Season hamburger and cook with chopped onions. 1c sc. full jar of pesto
I will not be making this again. It was edible, but that’s all. My daughter barely ate a bite and my husband choked down a bowl out of politeness. I finished my serving due to an aversion to wasting food.
It’s ok. Did what others recommended and doubled the pesto and sour cream and added Italian seasoning. Makes a huge amount. Not sure I’ll make again.
I made this with ground turkey and after reading the reviews I doubled the pesto and sour cream, seasoned the meat with some Italian spices and added a can of rotel. I used penne pasta with this and topped with some parmesan cheese. 4 out of 5 people in my house loved it!
I made it , using the Red Tomato Pesto and tried some with the Green Pesto and Loved them Both Equally..
very very tasty and filling! this was the first recipe i’ve ever made on my own. it came out really good! i used 1.5lbs of beef, 16oz of box macaroni, 1 6oz jar of basil pesto, and a cup of sour cream (after reading the reviews). and then my own little touch (grape tomatoes and fresh parmesan)
The first time I made this for my family I wasn’t impressed and didn’t think I would make it again. However, my husband and son loved it! I’ve made it several more times since with some minor changes. I brown 2 lbs of ground beef, use “Allouet” instead of “Boursin”, and use penne instead of macaroni. Don’t forget the basil pesto! So good!
For a quick meal and I had all the ingredients in the house, no complaints. I read the other reviews and used an 8oz jar of basil pesto and 1 cup of sour cream. Also added a can of rotel, Italian seasoning and about 2-3 cups of fresh spinach. Made a huge recipe with quick leftovers. Lots of flavor, I admit I was nervous about the pesto and sour cream combo.
Greasy and odd texture.
This was the most simplest meal to make. I really enjoyed it, I added a little chedder cheese. We ate it with yeast rolls and salad. So delicious, will definitely make again.
My family loves this recipe. I use bow tie pasta with it, and cover in shaved Parmesan when we have it.
We prefer it with basil pesto.
Very easy and pretty good — great for a weeknight meal . I added about 1/3 can rotel tomatoes to the mix and served with a little parm. cheese on top– heated up in the oven after mixing on skillet.
Tried what all the comments suggested and it was still super bland, wouldn’t make again ):
It was good – but I added cheese.
So yummy! This recipe makes so much so I was able to share some with neighbors who just had a baby! I also used a cup of sour cream and a cup of pesto!
meh! followed the other reviews and added the extra sour cream, onion, pesto and itallian seasoning. its still pretty bland but the kids and hubby ate it. good for a quick meal and better than hamburger helper.
Excellent!!!
