Before grilling, this seasoning salt tastes great sprinkled over meat or veggies. There is enough food left over to keep and use later.

for everyone who is saying it is too salty you just using to much of the mixture, so i dont really know what you mean.

I made it with Neufchatel cheese by accident, but it allowed me to mix without softening because it is already soft from the store. And I added 2/3 of a block of grilled Spam for a bit of 60s love.

A little salty will cut salt by 1/3

I love this recipe using half the salt called for. My teenage son loves it too, and he is picky about his spices!

I didn’t have cayenne so I used white pepper, otherwise it’s spot on!

I ran out of Lawry’s. Found this recipe and gave it a go. Was a very good seasoning. I used just under the 1/4 cup salt. Not to overly salty that way. I recommend this now instead of buying Lawry’s season salt. Thanx for a great recipe I could fall back on. L

As with most recipes, I tweaked this one to suit out tastes. As written (for us) it has far too much black pepper so I halved the amount of that and I left out the red pepper all together. If I want a spicy hot dish, I will add that separately because most of the time I do not. As for some saying this is too salty, I have to laugh. This is a seasoned SALT. I guess some folks missed that part – lol. But sure, you can add less if that suits you, why not?

Definitely cut down on the salt.vi put half the salt it called for & it was still salty. I added more paprika & a touch of sugar & some dill.

Best recipe I have tried. I will never buy store bought seasoning salt again. My entire family switched to making seasoning salt after I made them try this recipe when I made it. It is amazing.

I omitted the rep pepper, and only used a quarter of the ground black pepper called for because I didn’t want it to be hot. But I am happy with what I made, so this recipe was a good starting point.

Taste great! I put it in flour to make homemade crispy fried chicken breast

I made per directions and used it on oven diced potatoes and loved it. Can’t wait to make more.

I made it “as written” today and found it to be too spicy [red pepper] and WAY too much black pepper. I like both but this recipe was too-TOO heavy on both. As is I’m not sure what I’d even use it on for fear of ruining it so I’m going to tweak it somehow to make it palatable for use.

Thank you for sharing. Love to add this to my Goulash. Plus using it as a seasoning on chicken.

It’s good, far exceeds packaged taco seasoning. Used it in 2lbs of lean ground beef and think I will add half of the recipe next time. And I like spicy food!

Super easy and well balanced. Better than store products because its not too salty.
Robert Fernandez
Love it! Made it just like the recipe.
