I wanted to prepare fish in a relatively simple method, so I developed this recipe for fish seasoning. Simply combine it and keep it in your cupboard in an airtight jar, then season your fish and bake or broil it how you like. Before baking salmon fillets in the oven, I like to combine it with a little olive oil and apply it on top of the fish. The combination of herbs complements fish quite nicely without overpowering it.

I’ll never make it again. I ate it because I don’t waste food. I was extremely disappointed in this blend. I should have known better. Typically, complexity doesn’t go well with fish.
I was looking to replace the fish seasoning that I used to buy at Davison’s Farms in Vernon. This is definitely it!!. Rubbed it on with some lemon juice and a bit of olive oil, then baked at 400 ° for 18 minutes….delish!!
I make this for Christmas gift stocking stuffers
Excellent seasoning blend.
These spices went VERY well together! The only thing I left out was the bk pepper. This was excellent on my fish and the next day I used it on my air fryer sweet potato fries. Thank you!
I put this mixture on a couple of salmon fillets and grilled them. Wow, we’re they delicious! Definitely a keeper!
Very tasty! It really matters on the meat as well but my dish was yummy. I usually use Mr Binghams seasoning on all my fish dishes and never had a bad dish. I wanted to try something different and it kinda tasted the same as i put mr binghams and olive oil.
Oh.My. This seasoning is so delicious! My boys loved it, too!
I used this on catfish and shrimp, grill over oak and pecan wood. I want more!!
Probably will not make it again, not a favorite in my household. Personal preference I think.
Easy to make. Excellent taste. Easy to store. Makes eating healthy easier. Thank you Dianne.
These are excellent spices for fish! Try it once and then you can adjust to your families taste. I like to use some of our spices from the garden for a change every once in a while. 🙂
This is easy and something the entire family enjoyed!
we enjoyed this blend on salmon that we grilled/smoked.. added the lemon zest, crushed red pepper, and paprika as Heidi Rose suggested and left the amounts of the original ingredients the same.. only substituting kosher salt for the sea salt and celery seed for the celery salt.. ty for the recipe
Made this as directed and put on Salmon that we BBQ’d. Loved that there is no MSG in this seasoning as many of the fish seasonings contain this bad ingredient. Next time I will add some lime juice/jest and a tiny amount of brown sugar to the mix before adding it to the fish.
This is also great to bag up and take camping! Use on freshly caught fish & use olive oil or your own Marinade as a mixture, or use as a dry rub. It is wonderful.
Mixed this up tonight to put on some salmon – Oops – did not have the sage or marjoram, so I doubled the rosemary- garlic blend I had and added some dry mustard. Excellent!! Smells just like the stuff in bottles that sells for $4-6 each!! Will use again for sure!!! Thanks!!!
This seasoning was amazing…I put it on some tilapia and seared it. Forgot to take a photo it was delicious.
We have been increasing fish in our diet after years of avoiding it. This is one of the easier ways we have found and great tasting. We added olive oil and baked st 425 go 20 minutes…..yum.
fantastic
Was really good and my husband loved it! Even my kids ate it. I didn’t have quite all the seasonings (Rosemary, celery salt, or oregano), but went by the recipe on the ones I had and it was perfect. I did use lemon pepper instead of black, and added a tiny bit of crushed red pepper and paprika. I will definitely use this over and over again. Thank you! Note: I dipped the fish in a egg/milk mixture, and than coated in plain breadcrumbs with some of the seasoning mixed into it, then fried it in margarine. DELICIOUS!
