1/2 of basil used as I was short the amount needed

Best seasoning recipe ever for beef rib roast.

This is awesome. Made it just as written. Perfect multipurpose seasoning with right amount of salt (used kosher salt) and heat. Half the recipe fits perfectly into standard size spice jar.

I absolutely love this recipe. I halve the cayenne (the husband doesn’t like spicy food) and it is wonderful. I love the idea of gifting this.

This was really easy to make and tasted good on our fish.

Fabulous seasoning blend as the store bought blends contain way too much salt!

To those that found this recipe too salty; I think maybe you used table salt? I use kosher salt without that problem.
Lori Beasley
I made it with the ingredients I had on hand, omitting the onion powder and something else. Good recipe to save and have on hand.

This is an excellent seasoning recipe! The only change I made was substituting the white pepper for more black pepper. I think this blend is amazing. Not too salty. Zippy but not overly spicy. We used it on steaks and thought it was amazing. I can’t wait to try it on everything.

Yes, I used it in homemade gumbo.

I used this as a steak rub – omg DELISH! Then I used it as a flavoring for Prawns in a butter saute- omg Delish! Also have used it in eggs and I thi k it would be tasty as a roasted chickpea recipe or popcorn /butter topper- just so versatile!! this is a keeper ! thank you!

Excellent flavor! I cut the salt in half, otherwise followed the recipe exactly as written. I like that all of the ingredients were common- I had everything on hand. Great recipe!

I used smoked paprika in this recipe, and kosher salt… I powdered the kosher salt in a coffee/spice grinder so that it could be more evenly distributed throughout the blend… It is a fantastic recipe… I just now made it, so other than a taste in my hand and dipping a tater tot into it, I haven’t yet used it… I quadrupled the recipe off the hop and glad I did as I’ll use a lot of this.

It is HOT HOT HOT!! I’d cut the cayenne next time, at least in half.

Perfect seasoning for my red beans and rice!

I don’t have a lot to compare it to, but I liked it and have made it twice.

My wife made some Parmesan, Spinach, Sun dried Tomato chicken. We put approximately 3 table spoons of this mix in it!

It really added flavor to my baked chicken thighs. I did substitute red pepper flakes for cayenne pepper , but it was delicious.

It is on my spice shelf and is used quite often. I do sometime add Arroyo chilies for added spice. (I dry and use my blender to grind them). We love spicy foods here. Just on regular pork chops and steaks this Creole Seasoning is great. I’m trying it on pasta salad now and love it there too. I definitely love this and it’s so easy to make.

And if you wanna use it up faster, take your spice grinder grind up some sugar and add it in. It’s a perfect popcorn seasoning.

Although I was afraid this recipe would be too spicy for my taste, I like to follow the recipe as close to the original version the first time around. This recipe did not disappoint! The only change I made was to reduce the salt to 1 Tablespoon instead of 3 Tbsp. I used a tsp in the Cajun Shrimp Soup recipe from this site & I look forward to using the rest in other dishes.
