Really lovely. Didn’t find currants, so went with dried cherries finely chopped. Worked beautifully.
Sooo flavorful! I had no hopes for this since 1) I had no currants, nor apricots & 2) I hate cilantro, so that’s out too.
So, I made it as directed (mind you I NEVER get a good “do” on rice) and at the end added the almonds and some dried cranberries..it had the best taste ever. Thanks Guy!
Very simple, easy & tasty. I will always cook my rice like this. Everyone enjoyed it. The only think I substituted was chicken broth for water.
Thinking of what else I could throw in next time!
This rice is very flavorful and delicious. The textures in the rice really kick it up from other recipes. I left out the dried apricots as I did not have any on hand and it was still very good!
I loved this rice!! It was extremely easy and tasty. I would recommend this to anyone.
I totally agree that this should be easy. If you can cook rice and sweat onion, then you’ve got this. I love all the contrasting flavors and textures. So good!
This recipe is very similar to one I have used for years. I let the onions brown a little longer before I add the rice, then throw in a pinch of cumin and tumeric with the rice. The rice turns a wonderful yellow colour and has loads of flavour from the spices.
I made this rice according to the directions. Easy and delicious!. Light, fluffy and could go alongside of many dishes. My family said it is a keeper. Thanks Guy.
The level on this recipe should be changed to easy. This recipe was super easy to make & out of this world delicious for a rice recipe.
