Ingredients

  1. 4 ounces high-quality chocolate milk
  2. 2 ounces mezcal
  3. 1 pinch ground chipotle chile, plus more for garnish
  4. Grated chocolate, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Bring chocolate milk, mezcal, and a pinch of chipotle powder to a slight simmer in a saucepan. Meanwhile, fill a serving glass with hot water; when it’s warm, pour out the water and add the hot chocolate. Garnish with freshly grated chocolate and more chipotle powder. Serve immediately.

This is good. You can substitute tequila for the mezcal. Watch the video for better detail About mezcal:. Mezcal is defined as “a distilled alcoholic spirit made from any type of agave.” Mezcal is the general, and tequila would then
be the specific. The difference is that mezcal can be made from any type of agave, whereas tequila is only made from the blue agave plant.
