Ingredients

  1. 1 cup sugar
  2. 1/3 cup dark corn syrup
  3. 1/2 cup water
  4. 1/4 tablespoon cream of tartar, optional
  5. 10 drops red food coloring
  6. 10 drops blue food coloring
  7. 8 drops green food coloring
  8. 3 teaspoons licorice flavoring

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup, water, and cream of tartar. Over medium-high heat, cook sugar mixture until it reaches a temperature of 300 degrees F. Remove from heat. When mixture has cooled to 260 to 270 degrees F, stir in colorings and flavoring.
  2. Cover the back of a baking pan with nonstick aluminum foil and arrange lollipop sticks 3 to 4 inches apart. Carefully spoon or pour sugar mixture over the end of lollipop sticks. If mixture becomes too thick, place pan over low heat and stir constantly until it loosens up. Let lollipops cool completely before touching. If you plan on keeping lollipops for more than a day, wrap individually in cellophane pouches.

For those of us trying to stay away from all the chemical additives, I am glad recipes like this are posted. I am planning on making these with the grandkids.

Waaaay to labor intensive for the result. Not quick or easy-want quick and easy make some genuine home-made drop cookies and spend time with your family!

It’s obvious Sandra doesn’t have to cook or clean or work full-time or raise children. Why waste your time on such nonsense?

These were so easy to make and good too.

Lollipops are 5 cents each, maybe 10 cents tops. Just buy a bag and save your time for something useful. How bored do you have to be to want to make LOLLIPOPS?
