This is my mom’s exact recipe updated with fresh green beans ,back in the day it was made with canned green beans . An old recipe freshened up .
Good and easy, but far too much olive oil. I cut it back, keeping the same proportions with the vinegar, and the vegetables were swimming in it! I made the recipe a day ahead of serving and added the toasted walnuts and Feta cheese before serving. It did make a hit.
This was amazing. I used the feta that had sundried tomatoes and basil mixed in because that was what I had on hand. The toasted walnuts gave it a nice crunch. This will be added to our collection. Makes a nice presentation and a nice wow factor without a lot of work.
easy ,healthy and tasty!I used balsamic vinegar because thats what we had. Will def. make this again!
Wow! This is incredible. It actually surprised me that it was so good. I tried it to use up some fresh green beans, and I’m so-o-o-o glad I did. The buttery taste of the toasted walnuts makes it special!
This is a beautiful dish — flavorful, colorful, and so easy to add to a buffet table. Served this last night at our annual Christmas party. I used spiced pecans and a champagne vinegar b/c it’s what I had on hand. Delish! The bonus: I know that the leftovers today will taste even better after the flavors have had a day to blend.
Easy to make and great flavor!
I had some green beans past their first youth and needing a little help. This recipe really did the job. The onion, walnuts and cheese made those beans very tasty! If you plan on holding this dish or serving only part of it reserve the dressing as the acid can cause the green to fade. Thanks Guy!
I took this to a gathering and it was a hit. It is easy and a nice blend of flavors. I appreciate that it is on the healthier side without a heavy cream sauce, i.e. green bean casserole.
Really easy to make and very tasty
