  1. 2 1/3 cups baking mix, store-bought
  2. 3 tablespoons melted butter
  3. 3/4 cup milk
  4. 1/2 cup grated Cheddar
  5. 1 cup leftover Sawmill Gravy, from Chicken Fried Steak recipe
  6. 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley leaves

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together the baking mix, melted butter and milk until just combined, then fold in the cheese. 3. To serve, split the biscuits in half and dress them with some gravy. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve hot.

I thought these biscuits were a little dry. I thought the gravy was to die for though.

I made extra sawmill gravy to go with these biscuits, but had some leftover sausage to do so from the Chicken Fried Steak gravy’s recipe. I loved the fresh thyme and thougt that it really added a ton of flavor to the gravy. The cheese in the buscuits was yummy as well and really made this meal stand out from the other buscuits and gravy I’ve made in the past. I love saving money at the grocery store while still being able to make fun and tasty meals. Keep the great tips coming Sandra. My family and I are really enjoying it.

The biscuits were moist and flavorful. The instructions were easy and my husband and I really enjoyed them! Hey, what more can you ask?

I did not make the Sawmill Gravy so I cannot make a comment on that recipe.

~Enjoy!
