Ingredients

  1. 2 pounds okra
  2. 1/2 cup self-rising cornmeal
  3. 2 tablespoons self-rising flour
  4. 1 1/2 cups oil
  5. Dash of salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash and cut okra into 1/4-inch pieces. Mix cornmeal, flour and seasoning. Add okra. Pour oil into a deep frying pan and heat to about 400 degrees F. Fry until golden.
