Maple Syrup Marinade

Ingredients

  1. 1 1/2 tablespoons maple syrup
  2. 1 tablespoon minced shallot
  3. 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  4. 2 teaspoons whole-grain mustard
  5. 1 teaspoon chopped fresh rosemary
  6. 1 clove garlic, smashed
  7. 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
  8. 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  9. Large pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. To the maple syrup bottle (or a glass bottle with a lid), add the syrup, shallot, vinegar, mustard, rosemary, garlic and pepper. Cover and shake vigorously to combine. Add the oil, cover and shake vigorously again to combine. Season with the salt.
  2. Use as a marinade for pork chops or chicken.
