Ingredients
- 4 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup kosher salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup Freshly ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup garlic powder
- 1/4 cup ground mustard
- 1/4 cup garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
- 1/4 cup chili powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 1 cup paprika
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine all the ingredients. Mix well to break up any lumps. (Optional: Use a food processor.) Keeps in a covered container at room temperature for several months. Before each use, stir the rub to re-distribute all the ingredients evenly. Makes about 4 cups.

Recommend for everyone. If you don’t like spicy just lessen the spice like I did. I have been looking for a sweet rub for my flank steak. My favorite rub from here in NC has been impossible to find for over two years now. And this rub is as close to that rub as I have found and love it. Thank you for this wonderful receipt.
