Crispy Grilled Okra

After Taco Tuesdays, we always have extra taco shells, so this is how we make use of them. Create your own delicious ice cream taco by adding your preferred ice cream toppings.

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound fresh okra
  2. 1 tablespoon olive oil, or to taste
  3. salt and ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat an outdoor grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
  2. Wash and pat okra dry with a kitchen towel.
  3. Toss okra in olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Place okra on the preheated grill, perpendicular to the cooking grate, and cook for 2 minutes per side.
